Why Choose Sedation
Dentistry?
Some children feel nervous about dental visits, making treatment challenging. Sedation allows them to relax and receive the care they need without fear or discomfort. It’s especially beneficial for kids with anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or difficulty sitting still for longer procedures.
Types of Sedation
We Offer
We provide different levels of sedation based on your child’s needs. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a mild, safe option to help children relax. For more extensive procedures, we offer oral sedation administered by trained professionals to ensure complete safety. We also offer General Anestesia in the office. We have an Anesthesiologist on staff and an OR suite on site.
Is Sedation Dentistry Safe?
Yes! Our sedation methods are carefully monitored and administered by experienced dental professionals. We prioritize your child’s safety and well-being, following strict guidelines to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience with minimal side effects.
A Stress-Free Experience for Parents & Kids
We understand that parents want reassurance when it comes to sedation dentistry. Our team takes the time to explain the process, answer questions, and ensure you feel confident in your child’s care. With sedation, your child can receive the dental treatment they need without fear, stress, or discomfort.

FAQ’s
-
Is sedation dentistry safe for my child?
Yes, sedation dentistry is very safe when administered by experienced professionals. We carefully assess each child’s medical history and use the lowest effective dose to ensure their safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Our team monitors your child closely before, during, and after treatment.
-
What types of sedation do you offer?
We offer different sedation options depending on your child’s needs. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a mild sedative that helps children relax while remaining fully awake. Oral sedation provides deeper relaxation for more anxious patients, and General anesthesia is available for children who need extensive dental work or have severe dental anxiety.
-
Will my child be asleep during sedation?
Most sedation options, like nitrous oxide and oral sedation, help children feel calm but do not put them to sleep. For complex cases, general anesthesia may be recommended, where they will be fully asleep.
-
How long does it take for sedation to wear off?
The effects of nitrous oxide wear off within minutes after the procedure, while oral may take a few hours. Children may feel groggy or tired afterward, so we recommend rest and supervision for the remainder of the day.
-
How should I prepare my child for sedation?
Depending on the type of sedation, your child may need to avoid eating or drinking for a few hours before the appointment. We will provide specific instructions based on the sedation used. Comfortable clothing and a favorite stuffed animal or blanket can help keep them relaxed.
