Ghouls and monsters and goblins oh my! Halloween season is officially here and we hope you and your little pumpkin have some spooktacular festivities planned. We understand that Halloween is going to look a bit different this year, but there are still many things you can do with your family for a frighteningly good time!
Things To Do With Your Child This Halloween
The GTA is known to put on some of the best Halloween events, and this year didn’t disappoint! Event teams got creative and put together many safe and socially distanced activities for the whole family to enjoy! The Toronto Zoo has put together a new “Drive-Thru BOOmobile” event and the Black Creek Pioneer Village has many family-friendly activities to enjoy! You can find more information about events happening in the GTA at Toronto 4 Kids.
Festive At-Home Activities
Many families are opting to have some Halloween fun at home this year. Our team has put together some at-home activities that will have your whole family cackling! If you’re looking for some ideas, try one of the following:
- A Halloween candy scavenger hunt
- Paint (or carve) pumpkins
- A Halloween movie marathon
- Make caramel or candy apples
- Put on a costume fashion show
Oral Health As A Priority This Halloween
Halloween isn’t an excuse to forget about oral health! Although it’s okay to treat your family to a few sweets, make sure everyone brushes their teeth soon after! When we consume sugar, our mouths produce a certain type of acid. This specific acid dissolves tooth enamel and results in tooth decay, which can later lead to cavities. This is why oral health routines are especially important on a candy-filled Halloween night!
We can help make sure your child doesn’t have a scary smile all year round! If it’s been over 6 months since the last time your child visited one of our pediatric dentists in Richmond Hill, Markham or Stouffville, please send an email to info@kidsdentalgroup.ca. We can’t wait to hear all about your Halloween activities!
